What is Access Wellbeing?
Access Wellbeing is the new approach to community mental health and wellbeing support in Dorset. It is a partnership between the NHS and voluntary sector, working together with other organisations across the community.
Access Wellbeing provides different types of support depending on each person’s needs, including easy access to early help with the issues that can impact on our mental health and wellbeing.
The new Access Wellbeing hubs and drop-in spaces are described as Universal services, as they can be accessed by anyone aged 18 and over. In addition to these new Universal services, the Access Wellbeing model of care also includes two other areas – Focused and Specialist. Work is currently underway to align and integrate care across all these areas, to provide one connected system of support that is easier for people to navigate.
